MOERO signed the GOTS label charter: For what reasons?

Do you know what the GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) label really guarantees?

It determines the environmental and social requirements, from fiber to clothing, and MOERO has decided to adhere to this charter because it meets our values, our conception of the professional world in which we must be responsible and exemplary.

ALL clothing sold on www.moero.fr is GOTS level 1 certified: organic textiles, comprising = 95% certified organic fibers, = 5% artificial or synthetic fibers. This represents a real guarantee of quality and ethics.

ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS Thus, all stages of the processing of products composed of organic fibers must be separated from those of products composed of traditional fibers: they must be clearly identified. All chemical inputs (e.g. dyes, adjuvant and processing chemicals) must be assessed and comply with a number of basic requirements on toxicity and biodegradability & disposal.

Critical inputs such as toxic heavy metals, formaldehyde, aromatic solvents, functional nanoparticles, genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and their enzymes are completely banned.

The organization defends workers' rights and adheres to the golden rules of free choice of employment, non-discrimination, prohibition of child labor, fair wages, fair working hours, a healthy environment and legal and fair contracts.

Our products are made with at least 95% organic materials according to the organic content standard. This means that the raw materials are monitored and verified for their integrity  in order to guarantee the consumer the final composition of the product.
